Welcome to Greek House Cafe, a family-owned Greek restaurant in Simi Valley, California with a rich history spanning over three decades. Established in 1992 in Goleta, California and later relocated to Simi Valley in 2001, Greek House Café has been a culinary destination dedicated to serving authentic Greek cuisine.

Our restaurant is the culmination of the Kokkinos family’s legacy, with my mother, Kassiani Kokkinos and her former partner Nick Georgopoulos as the driving force behind our delicious homemade dishes. Growing up, I witnessed my mother’s passion for cooking in the kitchen, where she would create delicious Greek desserts that would entice the entire neighborhood. Her generous spirit extended beyond our family, as she would warmly welcome everyone, treating them as though they were part of our own. Drawing inspiration from my Greek heritage and my mother’s teachings, our menu is a reflection of our roots. We proudly serve a variety of traditional Greek dishes, with recipes originating from my mother’s village in Corinth and her former partner Nick, who hailed from Patra in the Peloponnesus region of Greece. Each dish is crafted with love and passion, using authentic techniques passed down through generations. From classic dishes like Moussaka and Roast Lamb to flavorful chargrilled chicken, lamb, and beef souvlaki marinated with genuine Greek flavors, our menu showcases the best of Greece.

Also, let’s not forget about our gyro, cooked to perfection on a rotisserie and served on handmade pita bread, topped with our own homemade tzatziki made from yogurt strained in our cheesecloth strainer until it’s as thick as ice cream.
